A high refresh monitor, with minimal input lag (for me Ben Q XL2411Z) replacing a 26", 60Hz TV dramatically improved my ability to use the character (note: use, not play well). If you like hitscan characters, then yes. I feel like i need to replace my mouse more than anything these days, it doesn't seem to be smooth anymore. ![]() I've got a regular 1440p 27" monitor for my primary with an MSI 1070, is 144FPS that big of an upgrade? Or get behind her with Reaper, Tracer, Sombra, or Genji. Or flank her vertically with Pharah, Junkrat, Widowmaker, or Mei standing on a wall. The counter is to use things that ignore the shield-Zarya's beam, Winston's gun, Symmetra's beam, Mei's freeze gun, Roadhog's hook, Reinhardt's charge, or Sombra's hack. Her shield is much more powerful than Reinhardt's shield or Mei's wall, but it has a pretty short time limit on it. ![]() I've stood in the way of hard pushes and heard my shields pinging crazy fast-like I've absorbed enough damage in 4 seconds to wipe out my team. I mean yeah, D.Va's biggest strength is that her shield absorbs *every* projectile that hits it for those 4 seconds. But even a good D.Va will have a full second of time between when she lets it drop and it's available to bring up again, which is when you unload the charged shot you've been holding in reserve. It's not like Reinhardt, where you have to burn the shield down, it's closer to Zarya where you just hold fire till the shield drops, but you still need to keep the pressure up to make her use the charge on it.Ī good D.Va will time her shield usage to eat things like rockets, grenades, and whatever the hell Symmetra fires off while trying to not take all the little crap shot while her shield recharges. If your death ball is blowing it's wad on her shield, you're doing it wrong. Her shields eat all projectile everything while up, but are time limited. Whatever the case, she seems to catch a lot of my damage in death ball pushes on the shields. Meh, maybe I have been playing against strong D'Vas or with weak teammates then. Her survivability is on par with Roadhog now, and he doesn't feel OP. Her recent buff just took her from insta-pop to "can enter a fight with a reasonable chance of escaping to the healer". I've played a *lot* of D.Va and found most of her weaknesses. I don't know if McCree's flashbang cancels it or not, I've never survived the ensuing pistol fan to find out. She can be Roadhog hooked completely out of the mech call-the stun cancels it. She can be shot to death during that time. You lose control of her as soon as you hit the button. Her gun is dangerous, but less so than Mercy, and Mercy gets flying.įinally, she can be mowed down during the "call mech" animation. Out of her mech, she gets 150 health with no mitigation or evasion. She cannot be controlled while exiting the mech-you get to choose an exit direction, then get no control until your feet hit the ground. She always comes out on the same timing and will land in one of 4 places the same distance from the mech every time. ![]() She gets 4 choices when exiting the mech-backward (default), sides, and forward. If you're not killing D.Va, that's on you, not her. She has to stand perfectly still for 1s while calling a mech, and can be killed before it lands and she's in it. ![]() Tracer health with no Tracer evasion tools Easily predictable path and timing out of a popped mech D'Va is so annoying with being able to pop out and bounce right back in with no weakness whatsoever.
